KAM and their Space Race
08 December 2005
KAM Ltd is a leisure and service provider who has recently been involved in projects promoting workplace health with large governmental authorities. This work gave us some inspiration for us as a company to promote our own workplace health event whilst having fun.
After NASA recently released a statement indicating they will be launching a new lunar mission by 2018 we thought, hang on, we could walk there faster! So we have devised a fun event which promotes workplace health. It involves teams of no more than 50 space-walkers to each walk to the moon by virtual trekking. Each space-walker wears a pedometer and records their steps each day on our spread sheet, then similarly return it to Mission Control each Monday morning. We have received confirmation that a team from the US are going head to head with us along with the Land Registry. We are extending an invitation to everyone in the profession to join us, individually or in work based teams. This event gives people the opportunity to raise money for charities along the way if they wish. Here at KAM, we are supporting Children in Need until the end of the Year.
